Slipknot masks are available to complete your
Slipknot costume! The band formed in 1995 and since then have been known for their unique Slipknot masks. Although the masks have altered slightly from album to album, each captures that particular band member’s personality.
To add to the fun, you many even want to team up with a group of friends and hit up the streets on Halloween as this Grammy Award winning band!
The
Slipknot Corey Taylor mask is worn by the lead vocalist in the band. It is said that his newer mask is inspired by the character Leatherface from the film “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” A
Slipknot Corey mask has a greenish-grey color featuring scars mended by staples and a wide, deformed mouth.
Originally, Sid Wilson wore a gas mask as his costume. This
Slipknot Sid mask, however, looks like his more current mask which is a tan skull. Sid works the band’s turntables, giving the group a more nu metal sound. Nu metal combines hip hop, funk and alternative metal with grunge music. It became a sub-genre of heavy metal in the early 1990s.
Craig Jones, also known as “133” or Pinhead, is the band’s sampler. The
Slipknot 133 mask is made with black latex and comes with 10-inch plastic silver spikes. Spike assembly is required. The spikes in the Slipknot 133 mask are suppose to represent pain and are the reason for the nickname “Pinhead.”
A metallic silver colored mask with vertical slits for a mouth make up the
Slipknot Mick mask. Mick Thompson has been one of the band’s guitarists since 1996.
Slipknot Mick masks are said to represent hate.
Fellow guitarist James Root takes on a jester-style look. The
Slipknot James Root mask is white and has red scars detailed around each eye. A silver zipper is featured between black lips to complete the
Slipknot James mask.
Slipknot’s bass player, Paul Grey, wears a black mask with a nose similar to a pig. The
Slipknot Paul mask also has metal bars in the mouth and a lime green bullet hole surrounded by cracks of the same color.
Shawn “Clown” Crahan, one of the nu metal band’s custom percussionist, stays true to his nickname by always wearing a mask resembling a clown face. This particular
Slipknot Clown mask has a round nose similar to that of a clown and blood-like splatters around its white face.
